Illinois REALTORS® Set the Agenda for 2013

IAR's annual Public Policy meetings took place Jan. 21-24 to make sure REALTORS® have a voice in the local, state and federal public policy issues and legislative battles that affect their business. Featured speakers included Dr. Paul M. Lisnek, a nationally recognized television commentator and political analyst for WGN-TV, and Dr. Geoffrey J.D. Hewings, director of REAL and professor of Geography, Economics and Urban and Regional Planning.

  • "A Wizard of Oz Evening" auction was held to raise money for the REALTORS® Political Action Committee. REALTORS® dressed as their favorite Wizard of Oz character, participated in Oz-themed games along with bucket, silent and live auctions. Auction items included iPads, e-readers, golf outings, dinner and theater packages, Odyssey Chicago Brunch Cruise, Rusty Wallace Racing experience and much, much more!
