Illinois REALTORS® members have a commitment to sharing and learning about other cultures in addition to encouraging organizational leadership opportunities that reflect the diversity of the membership.

Each year the Business Diversity Working Group makes recommendations on how to better position REALTORS® to thrive in an international economy. The group works with real estate organizations and a diverse membership to hold a Multicultural Summit annually and promotes resources for REALTORS® who understand that Global is the New Local.

International Sales = 6 Percent of Market International buyers of U.S. properties generated $68.2 billion in the 12 months ending March 2013, marking a $14 billion decline from the year before, according to NAR's 2013 Profile of International Home Buying Activity.  


Hispanic buyers a force in homeownership

From 2000 to 2013, Hispanic homeowners accounted for an increase of 2.6 million owner households. That finding and many more are in the 2013 State of Hispanic Homeownership Report produced by NAHREP.
